‘GE13 may be the last opportunity for change’

‘GE13 may be the last opportunity for change’

JOHOR BARU (Dec 22, 2012): The 13th General Election is crucial for Malaysians as it may be the only opportunity for political change to save the country from becoming a failed state.
“The Umno-led Barisan Nasional (BN) clearly is unable to change its corrupt ways and has no intention to eradicate corruption.
“If it secures the mandate to govern in the next general election, untold misery awaits Malaysians as the socio-economy of the country will surely deteriorate,” Johor PKR chairman Chua Jui Meng told a group of key supporters in a private political discussion cum dinner tonight.
Chua said PKR was confident of strong support from the Chinese and Indian communities in Johor in the next general election.
“Based on the crowd response to our political rallies and ceramah, we do feel that the Malays also want change. “However, we cannot be certain or take matters for granted. We still have much ground to cover to consolidate the Malay support for PKR,” he said.
Chua also urged his close supporters to continue to beef up membership for Johor PKR and to solicit as many party election workers as possible to help check any electoral fraud by the super friendly BN Election Commission during polling day.
