A night when 1,500 diners in Sekijang want Johor BN out

A sell-out crowd packed Segamat’s Restoran Tong Fook (Baru).

SEGAMAT (Jan 4, 2013): It was night Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) would want Johoreans to forget that it happened.
A total of 150 tables were sold out at Restoran Tong Fook (Baru) and 1,500 diners shouted their voice hoarse – Ini kalilah pasti ubah! (This time definitely change!).
Leading the charge was Johor PKR chairman Chua Jui Meng.
Whenever Chua mentioned in his speech that the Umno-led Barisan Nasional (BN) must be retired, the diners would clap and shout Change!
The dinner cum ceramah was organised by Sekijang PKR and it received tremendous support from locals, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and activists.
Key support came from Pengerang’s Anti-Rapid activists, Himpunan Kebangkitan 1 Juta Rakyat (1 Million People’s Rise Assembly and the Anti-Lynas activists from Pahang.
The Chinese majority audience cheered and applauded PAS’ Cikgu Normala’s speech.

The atmosphere was truly a show of Malaysian unity with the Chinese-majority audience cheering and clapping the speech of Normala Sudirman, the brave PAS woman candidate who took on the mighty Umno in the Tenang by-election in 2011.
The diners clapped and gave a rousing round of applause when she peppered her speech with Chinese - Gai Bian (Change).
Normala said it was one Mandarin word that she learnt from Chua during the Tenang by-election campaign which she could not forget.
A Kelantanese Chinese community leader was also present to testify the liberal, tolerant and fairness of the PAS administration in his state.
“Eating” Pahang MB Adnan’s ear ceremony … the diners also joined in with the “ear” in their hand ready for munching.

To make it worthwhile for those who travelled all the way from Kuantan, an ear-eating ceremony was also staged in “honour” of Pahang MB Adnan “gangster” Yaakob.
Adnan had pleged to have one of his ears severed and he would also jump into the Pahang River if BN-MCA loses Bentong to DAP in the next general election.
The current Bentong MP is MCA deputy president and Health Minister Liow Tiong (Lie).
Chua, activists and community leaders took to the stage and simultaneously ate biscuits shaped like an ear. That should motivate Pahang voters, especially those in Bentong, to vote for Pakatan Rakyat (PR) so that Adnan gets his “wish” to have one of ears severed and to jump into the Pahang River for a swim.
