Johor DAP chief Dr Boo Cheng Hau has
agreed to stop his verbal spat with Johor PKR chief Chua Jui Meng and use
internal channels to resolve problems between the two parties.
In a press release today, Boo said Johor DAP wanted to put the matter behind them while expressing full support and "selfless devotion" to Pakatan Rakyat partners PKR and PAS.
Boo's apparent apologetic tone follows a gag order by DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng two days ago. He was also paid a visit by DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang today.
"I hope to close the unfortunate chapter in a swift manner in order to concentrate on the next general election.
"I would like to say that my statement might have cause unnecessary anxiety within Pakatan and our supporters especially in Johor.
"I would accept all criticism with an open heart and wish to see solidarity within Pakatan to continue," he said.

On Feb 18, Boo lashed out at Chua
over seat negotiations, resulting in the duo calling each other "overlords".
Following this, DAP chairperson Karpal Singh and PKR chairperson Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail got into the mix, defending their respective comrades.

Asked during a press conference in
Johor Baru today, where the press release was read out, on the possibility of a
three-cornered fight should negotiations break down, Boo said the matter should
be left to the Pakatan national leadership.
Meanwhile, Kit Siang conceded that
the row had put Pakatan in a bad light but the matter should be considered
resolved.
"BN has had three days of fun
and bonus. But for now, let's move on," he said. - malaysiakini
