GELANG PATAH (Feb 13, 2013): The third edition
of Gelang Patah PKR’s Gong Xi Fa Cai
walkabout saw Johor PKR chairman Chua Jui Meng and his election campaigners
distributing 2,500 mandarin oranges today.
It
took Chua five hours to extend warm handshakes and give away a pair of the
mandarin oranges (signifying gold and wealth) to Johoreans in the street.
Chua
had on Feb 3 and Feb 6, 2013, did the same covering the ground for seven hours
at each walkabout, distributing about 6,000 oranges.
Some
Johoreans seized the opportunity to have a photograph taken with Chua while
others posed some political questions.
Chua
did not need much introduction as wherever he went, Johofeans were heard
saying: “That’s Chua Jui Meng!”
Chua
urged Johoreans to make the right decision in the coming 13th
General Election and help make it an even bigger tsunami than March 2008.
“Johoreans
must get it right this time for our and country’s future,” he said.
A warm reception for Chua from these

Pulai.
Chua
also reminded Johoreans that a cleaner Pakatan Rakyat (PR) would be able to
serve the rakyat sincerely and
effectively.
He
also told Johoreans that major promises like free education, the writing off of
PTPTN loans, lowering of retail price of oil to reduce transport costs and
trigger a domino effect on cheaper goods and services, cheaper cars and an
array of aid to help the needy and women could only be implemented with savings
from a clean government.
“A
government that focuses on enriching its cronies can never care for the rakyat,” he added.
Chua
and his supporters started their Jelajah
Gong Xi Fa Cai Gelang Patah PKR Dengan CJM in at 8.30am in the Taman
Universiti wet market.
They
then proceeded to shop houses in Taman Pulai Utama at 10.30am, Kangar Pulai at
11am, Bandar Baru Kangkar at 11am, Bandar Baru Kangkar Pulai flats at 11.30am and
